7th Pay Commission: After DA increase, the government also increased these six allowances, by how much?

7th Pay Commission News: The central government had announced increase in dearness allowance in the first week of March. Recently the government has also made changes in six major allowances of lakhs of employees. Instructions related to allowances of central employees have been issued by DoPT. Let us tell you that with rising inflation, central employees get many types of allowances to cover housing, transportation, education, health care and travel expenses etc. These allowances are given in addition to DA which increases every six months. This time six allowances of employees have been increased, which are as follows-

> Child Education Allowance
>risk allowance
> Night Duty Allowance (NDA)
> Over Time Allowance (OTA)
>Special allowance for parliamentary assistants
> Child Care Special Allowance for Disabled Women

child education allowance

According to the Central Government notice, government employees can claim Children Education Allowance (CEA)/Hostel Subsidy for their two children. CEA amount will be Rs 2250 per child per month and hostel subsidy amount will be Rs 6750 per month. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the Central Government has made changes in the Children Education Allowance for disabled children. Now you can claim up to Rs 4500 per month.

risk allowance

The Center has also made changes in the risk allowance of employees. This allowance is given to those employees who are engaged in hazardous duties or their work has harmful effects on health. This allowance will not be treated as 'salary' for any purpose.

night duty allowance

The Center has also made changes in the Night Duty Allowance (NDA) of the employees. This benefit is also given to central employees. It was told in the notice that the work done from 10 pm to 6 am will be valid. Only those employees whose basic pay limit will be Rs 43600 per month will be eligible for Night Duty Allowance.

Overtime Allowance (OTA)

It was told in the notice that the Central Government has made changes in overtime allowance. It was also said that the concerned ministry will prepare a list of such employees who fall in the category of operational staff.

Special allowance for parliamentary assistants

It was said in the notification that during the Parliament session, the rates of special allowance given by the Center only to the employees engaged in Parliament related work will be increased. The allowance has been increased by 50% to Rs 2250 and Rs 1800 from the existing Rs 1500 and Rs 1200.

Child Care Special Allowance for Disabled Women

It was told in the notice that it has been decided to give Rs 3000 every month to disabled women employees as special allowance related to child care. It was said by the Center that this allowance will be given from the birth of the child till he turns two years old.
