East Champaran, 12 April (H.I.S.). Five members of a gang involved in suspicious money transactions at the international level have been arrested along with 11 mobile phones and 01 laptop. SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra has told that there is an organized gang of these criminals who commit cyber fraud through various mediums. They used to withdraw money illegally from the bank accounts of the country and abroad and keep it in their account and then after keeping a limited commission, they used to send the remaining money to other members of the gang.
These vicious people were exposed after their search in Chhauradano police station area. During the search, a total of 11 mobile phones and 01 laptop were recovered from them. During interrogation of the arrested criminals and investigation of the recovered mobile phone, it was revealed that the said criminals were working in collaboration with a gang which fraudulently withdraws money from bank accounts and the bank accounts provided by the said accused were I put the money in.
After the arrested accused withdraw cash from the bank account and keep their share of the amount, the remaining amount is deposited in the account made available again through CDM. During the investigation, transactions worth more than Rs 1 crore have come to light in the account.
In this context, a case has been registered at Chhauradanon police station and further action is being taken. The arrested criminals include Bhushan Ram alias Manibhushan Ram, Police Station-Chhaudadanon, Sameer Alam, Police Station-Banjariya, Wasim Akhtar, Police Station-Banjariya, Haider Ali, Police Station-Darpa and Mohammad Asgar, Police Station-Banjariya, District-East Champaran.
It has been told that Bhushan Ram alias Manibhushan Ram is accused of Arms Act, product and bike theft in police stations Chhaudadan and Lakhaura. A case of robbery has been registered against him in Bettiah Mufasil Police Station Case No. 732/23. The raiding team included DSP Raxaul Dhirendra Kumar, Police Inspector Sarita Kumari, Police Station Head, Chhauradano, SI Chandan Kumar, Chhauradanao, PSI KV Hanumanth, Chhauradanao police station, constables Pintu Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, besides the technical cell of the district.
