3 lakh 44 thousand national flags will be prepared in Kanpur city under Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan

Kanpur, 02 August (HS). To make the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan a success, preparations for making the national flag Tricolor have been speeded up. Kanpur city has been set a target of making 3 lakh 44 thousand flags. This information was given by National Livelihood Mission Rural Deputy Commissioner Self Employment Sudha Devi Shukla on Friday.

He informed that Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar has issued a notification to prepare two crore national flags under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan in Uttar Pradesh. Out of which Kanpur city has been given a target of 3 lakh 44 thousand. To complete this campaign, other departments including self-help groups operating in Kanpur district will be involved. Preparations have been intensified to achieve this target and letters are being issued to all responsible institutions in this regard.

He said that self-help groups will open employment opportunities for women of villages associated with the National Rural Livelihood Mission group. Women of the groups will work on making flags to hoist the national flag in every house before 15 August. Officials have started preparations for this. Groups are being selected to prepare the national flag.
