Mirzapur, August 30 (HS). The Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment exam was conducted in two shifts on Friday. 8518 candidates out of 10,944 registered appeared for the exam. Out of 5472 registered candidates in the first shift, 4280 appeared for the exam. 1192 candidates left the exam. Out of 5472 registered candidates in the second shift, only 4238 appeared for the exam, whereas 1234 did not appear for the exam. 2426 candidates left the exam in the district.
For a cheat-free exam, AI and biometric checking of the candidates was done at the main gate of the examination centers. Students from Sonbhadra, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Bhadohi appeared for the exam under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Monitoring was done from the district level control room located in the police line. District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, Superintendent of Police Abhinandan, ADM Finance and Revenue Shiv Pratap Shukla inspected the examination centers.
