21st livestock census 2024 will start from September 1 in Meerut | News India

Meerut, August 30 (HS). The 21st livestock census 2024 will start from September 1 by the Animal Husbandry Department. For this, training was given to supervisors and enumerators in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium on Friday.

On Friday, the Animal Husbandry Department organized a one-day training of supervisors and enumerators for the 21st livestock census 2024 in three shifts tehsil-wise in the Vikas Bhavan auditorium. The training program was inaugurated by Chief Development Officer Nupur Goyal. Explaining the importance of livestock census, she asked all the enumerators and supervisors to complete this work with full seriousness. She said that the enumerators should go to the villages and make the livestock owners aware about the Chief Minister Gauvansh Sahyogita Yojana and other government schemes along with the livestock census work.

Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Rajendra Sharma said that the work of 21st livestock census is being started by the Government of India from September 1. The work of livestock census, which will run for four months, is to be completed by December 31, under which from September 1, enumerators will go to the houses of livestock owners and collect data through mobile app. 28 supervisors and 212 enumerators have been selected for livestock census in rural and urban areas of the district. Animal census work will be done in 593 villages in rural areas and 324 wards in urban areas. One enumerator has been appointed for 3000 families in rural areas and 4000 families in urban areas.

Nodal Officer Animal Census Dr. Nilay Kumar gave training to all the supervisors and enumerators of Meerut district in three shifts tehsil wise. He told that the 21st Animal Census 2024 will be done through mobile app. He gave detailed training to everyone about the process of data entry on the app. Dr. Sharad Sharma, Dr. Priyaka Sharma, Dr. Sunanda Pandey, Dr. Kapil Dev, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Sushil Kumar etc. were present on this occasion.
