London, 27 April (His). New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme will join Surrey as a short-term replacement for injured Kemar Roach.
Roach was signed with Surrey for the first two months of the 2022 County Championship but suffered a hamstring injury during his innings win against Hampshire.
Surrey Director of Cricket Alec Stewart said: “We are delighted to have Colin on the services for the next three to four-day matches following Kemar’s injury. He already has good experience in county games and this will improve the quality and balance of the team.
Surrey will also be boosted by the arrival of Australian seamer Dan Worrall, who has signed a three-year deal with the club as a local player thanks to his British passport.
Worrall’s arrival in the UK was delayed for family reasons, but he was seen at The Oval during a Somerset match last week. He is set to make his debut against his former county of Gloucestershire.
