In-form Gujarat Titans will aim to make up for their opening loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL on Wednesday. The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat team has won six out of seven matches and the only defeat is against Hyderabad. On the other hand, after losing the first two matches, the Hyderabad team, which has won five consecutive matches, will try to seal its place by sliding Gujarat from the top of the points table. Both the teams have a strong fast bowling attack and there is a good chance of an exciting encounter between the two. There is no doubt that young Indian bowler Umran Malik from Hyderabad will respond to the 150 kmph speed of Gujarat’s Loki Ferguson with almost the same speed.

South Africa’s Marco Johnson swings the ball with extra bounce and Umran has become a fast bowler. Yorker specialist Natarajan has taken 15 wickets in seven matches. Senior bowler Bhuvneshwar is also in rhythm. The biggest problem for Hyderabad is spin bowling.

Jagdish Suchith replaces injured Washington Sundar. In terms of spin, Gujarat has Rashid Khan but the Afghan spinners have not been able to take many wickets in the current league. Ferguson is backed by Mohammed Shamin who is ten wickets in seven matches. Powerplay batting is the biggest concern of Hardplay’s team. Shubman Gill has scored 207 runs in seven matches. The performances of Matthew Wade and Wriddhiman Saha have been average. Hyderabad’s batting line-up is tall and they are making all useful runs including skipper Williamson.
