Mahoba, April 27 (H.C.). On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence, a campaign of farmer participation, priority ours is being run under the Amrit Mahotsav program being celebrated by the Government of India, in which today at the NIC Collectorate. The Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Pathshala was organized in the presence of DM Manoj Kumar. During this, the Agriculture Minister, UP, joined through virtual medium. He spoke to Harnath Singh, a farmer of village Dadri in Panwari block of Mahoba district.
While talking to the farmer of Mahoba, the Agriculture Minister took detailed information about the crop insurance scheme. First of all, the minister asked the name and address of the farmer, which crops do you do, do you get crop insurance or not, from crop insurance. Questions were asked whether any benefit was received, how many times the benefit was received etc. Then the farmer of Dadri gave full name and address. He told that he cultivated moong, urd, groundnut and sesame in Kharif and wheat, gram, peas and barley in Rabi. Told that he is getting his crops insured continuously for the last three years. To compensate for the loss in crops due to excessive rainfall, he was given a benefit of Rs.72000 in 2019, Rs.128000 in 2020 and Rs.87000 in 2021 by the insurance company. Apart from this, the minister asked about Kisan Samman Nidhi and KKC etc. Farmer Khub Singh of Mahoba told the minister that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is a very good scheme, so all farmers should take advantage of this scheme. He himself has appealed to the farmers of the district that all the people should get their crops insured.
During this, the DM advised the farmers of the district to follow organic farming, mushroom cultivation, turmeric cultivation, pearls, chicken, goat bee, fish etc. to increase their income. He said that if you make FPO and do farming with new technology, then you will get its benefit in any case.
On this occasion CDO Dr Haricharan Singh, Deputy Director Agriculture Dr AKS Yadav, District Agriculture Officer VP Singh, Land Conservation Officer Dr Sarvesh Yadav, Information Assistant Ibadat Hussain along with Manoj Rajput, Virendra Pachauri, Manmohan Rajput, Ashok Kumar, Sitaram Sen, Brajesh Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, Ramsharan, Parmanand, Bhuvnendra Chaturvedi etc. VLEs and progressive farmers were present.
