On the orders of the High Court and on the strict instructions of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the district administration is serious about removing the loudspeakers installed at religious places to prevent noise pollution. The police officers held a meeting with religious organizations of both the sects, referring to the order of the High Court and requested to remove loudspeakers from religious places.
DCP Kashi Zone RS Gautam said in the meeting of the Peace Committee at Adampur police station that even inside the religious place, the sound should not be heard outside the premises. He appealed not to organize any program without permission. Do not obstruct any route during Eid prayers. Along with this, do not pay attention to any kind of rumours. The result of this initiative of the officer is starting to show. Syed Yasin, joint secretary of the Langra Hafiz Masjid Committee located on the new road, said that the loudspeaker would also be removed from the minaret.
The loudspeakers installed at the ancient Maa Ashtabhuji temple of Shivpur and the Mahavir temple located in the orderly market were taken down under the supervision of Mahant. Murari Lal Gupta, chairman of the committee of ancient Maa Ashtabhuji Temple, told the media personnel that following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an attempt has been made to take off the loudspeaker and give a message of peace. According to the officials, permission will have to be taken for playing loudspeakers in the wedding ceremony in the district as well.
It is worth mentioning that due to the loud sound of loudspeakers installed in mosques and temples along with other religious places, the elderly, students, patients have to face a lot of problems. Many social organizations also raised their voices from time to time regarding this.
