Joshimath, 26 April (H.S.). The doors of Uttarakhand Bhu Baikunth Dham Shri Badrinath are to be opened on 8th May. The construction agencies of Badri-Kedar temple committee and master plan works in Badrinath are busy completing the works on a war footing.

The temple committee has so far completed the work of painting the Singhdwara and the temple complex, while other repairs and decorations are being finalized.

This time, separate arrangements have been made for the VIPs reaching Badrinath Dham for darshan. On the initiative of BKTC Vice President Kishor Panwar, a separate staircase has been constructed from the VIP Guest House Gujarati Bhawan itself, so that VIPs will enter the Photo Gallery Hall directly from the Gujarati Bhavan, from where they will go for darshan in sequence.

According to Vice President Panwar, this time the devotees standing in the queue will not face any problem due to the new arrangement. He said that arrangements are also being made to accommodate maximum number of devotees during various types of worship in the Sabha Mandap inside the temple.

Before the start of Badrinath Yatra, Ajendra Ajay, President of Badri Kedar Temple Committee, also has a proposed program to reach Badrinath on 29th April.
