New Delhi , 26 April (H.S.). Police has sent a notice to MP and BJP Yuva Morcha President Tejashwi Surya in connection with the vandalism at the Chief Minister’s residence located on the Civil Lines of the Northern District. He has been asked to appear before the Civil Lines police station on April 28.
Earlier, 10 accused including former Mayor Jayaprakash and BJP Yuva Morcha state president Vasu Rukhdd have been arrested.

According to the police, on April 1, the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha had demonstrated near the Chief Minister’s residence. The protest was organized in the assembly to protest against the statement made by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal regarding the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. During this demonstration, some people went and vandalized outside the Chief Minister’s residence.
Apart from breaking the boom barrier and CCTV, they had spilled paint on the main gate. In connection with this incident, the Civil Line Police Station had arrested eight accused by registering an FIR. He was granted bail after spending almost two weeks in jail.
After further investigation in this case, the police arrested former Mayor Jayaprakash and Yuva Morcha state president Vasu Rukhd, but both were granted bail from the police station itself. Now the police has sent a notice to BJP Yuva Morcha President and MP Tejashwi Surya, under whose leadership this demonstration was organized.
After sending this notice on behalf of the investigating officer on the instructions received from the Police Headquarters, he has been called to the Civil Lines police station on April 28.
According to police sources, so far about two dozen accused have been involved in this case. Of these, 10 people have been arrested earlier. In the FIR registered by the police, there is a provision of punishment of less than seven years, due to which the accused who are arrested are being given bail from the police station itself. Only the first eight accused were sent to jail in this case. At present, there are 14 such accused in this case who have been identified by the police.
