Kanpur, 26 April (H.C.). An officer working in the district’s Provident Fund Headquarters (EPF) office has been caught by the Anti-Corruption Unit of CBI along with a consultant taking a bribe of three lakhs. This action has been taken on the complaint of a school operator demanding a bribe of five lakhs. Action is being taken against both.

CBI raids in Kanpur Provident Fund office. The team left for Lucknow after questioning an employee from the office. A complaint was filed by a person demanding Rs. Since then, the team was laying a trap to catch the employee for a few days.

Let us tell you that the director of Siddharth International School, Chaubepur, Jaipal Singh has told that the enforcement inspector Amit Srivastava, working in EPF, had demanded a bribe of five lakhs to get the seven-A proceedings settled. After which the victim complained to the Anti Corruption Wing of the CBI. After the complaint, the team laid a trap and reached the school operator on Monday to pay Rs 3 lakh. As soon as the bag full of bribe was given to that officer, that officer was caught by the CBI team. The team has started further action by taking Amit Srivastava and his associate consultant into custody.
