Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked all ministers and bureaucrats to declare their assets in a special meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday in order to follow the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption. It is believed that this decision of the Chief Minister may increase the problems of many ministers and officers.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the meeting that for a healthy democracy, sanctity of conduct of public representatives is very important. According to this spirit, all ministers should make public declaration of all movable and immovable property of themselves and their family members within a period of next three months after taking oath. The code of conduct prescribed for the ministers should be followed scrupulously while ensuring the compliance of the provisions of the Representation of the People Act in letter and spirit.

He said that all public servants (IAS/PCS) will also have to make public declaration of all movable and immovable property of themselves and their family members. These details should be made available on the online portal for the perusal of the general public. So that the people of the state can know about the people associated with the government.

It is noteworthy that for a few days, there have been talks of interference in the government works of MP Praveen Nishad, son of the Minister of Fisheries, Sanjay Nishad.
