Pune: In a tragic road accident, four people were killed when their car collided with a stationary truck on the Mumbai-Pune highway on Saturday afternoon, Pune Rural Police was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. An official of the Shirgaon police station said that the accident took place at around 3.30 pm near Kiwale bridge on the highway near Pune.

He said that the speeding car broke down on the road and rammed into a parked truck. “A speeding sedan car on its way to Mumbai rammed into a parked truck, killing all the occupants of the four-wheeler. The bodies of the victims have been sent to the nearest hospital,” the official said.

He said the police were yet to identify the dead.
