Kolkata, 09 April (H.C.). West Bengal’s ruling party Trinamool Congress has expressed displeasure over former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s statement in which he had termed the situation in Bengal as bad. Ravi Shankar, who arrived on Saturday to campaign in support of BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul, has said that there is no trust in the police in Bengal. The court is assigning each case to the central agencies.

Countering this, Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that in every incident of crime in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee’s government has given proper punishment. Ravi Shankar Prasad should immediately apologize for this statement. He said that the people of Bengal have never accepted BJP, on the other hand BJP is not able to accept the defeat till date.

Apart from this, he has given clarification on his statement a day earlier regarding SSC corruption. He had said that all the recruitment scams that have happened have happened during the time of Partha Chatterjee. Not during the time of current education minister Bratya Basu. It was believed that his statement was against Parth. Giving clarification on this, he said that Parth is a very good friend of mine. I only explained the situation. Whatever the corruption is, it is being investigated and will happen.
