Bhilai Nagar, 8 April (H.S.). On Friday, the relatives of contract laborer Liladhar Swarnakar, who died in a road accident inside the plant, refused to take the body from the mortuary at Sector 9 Hospital.

Under the leadership of Hindustan Contract Laborer Itsu, first of all, the family members have demanded to give a letter of compassionate appointment to the dependent of the deceased. From the plant management at the mortuary site, a delegation of the IR department reached the union general secretary Yogesh Soni and discussed with the family of the deceased and councilor Arvind Rai, former councilor Manoj Yadava. Whereas the delegation of contracting company GP Electrical has reached and proposed to give compensation of two lakh rupees to the kin of the deceased immediately. But the condition of taking compensation has been laid only after the family members have given the letter related to compassionate appointment first.

It is noteworthy that in a road accident at 4 pm on Thursday, contract laborer Liladhar Swarnakar, 53, was killed after being hit by a Fowler train. The deceased was a contract worker of Liladhar GP Electrical. After this incident, the body was kept in the mortuary of Sector 9 Hospital. The relatives of the deceased, who came to collect the body from the mortuary on Friday, along with them, ward councilor Arvind Rai, former councilor Manoj Yadav and general secretary of Hindustan Contract Labor, Yogesh Soni, refused to take the dead body with mutual consent. On behalf of the relatives, the union leader proposed to the plant management that first of all a letter related to compassionate appointment should be handed over to a dependent family member of the deceased. Only then will the body be taken. During this, the officials of the IR department also reached for discussion on behalf of the plant management. The dead body has not been taken by the family till the filing of the news.
