Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) : Maoists killed a militia member suspected to be a police informer in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitarama Raju district. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Korra Laxman. Police said the incident took place in Bongajangi remote village of Peddabayalu mandal of Alluri Sita Rama Raju district.
According to the police, Laxman was a Maoist sympathizer who worked with them, but he left the group and surrendered to the police. Suspecting him to be a police informer, the Maoists killed him on Wednesday midnight.
Talking to ANI over phone, Superintendent of Police, Satish Kumar confirmed the incident and said, “The deceased was identified as Korra Laxman. The man who died was acting as a sympathizer for the Maoists, who later came out and surrendered to the police. with. He was killed by the Maoists on suspicion of giving information to the police.” Further investigation is going on in the matter.
