New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has revealed a horrific incident during IPL 2013 in Bengaluru, when he was hung from a hotel’s 15th floor balcony by a drunk cricketer, causing him to “faint”. they were finished.

Chahal was then in his final year with IPL franchise Mumbai Indians before he began a long stint with the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which ended after IPL 2021.

Chahal’s revelation against the unnamed cricketer has gone viral, with his fans demanding the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) take action against the player.

While talking to Rajasthan Royals teammate Ravichandran Ashwin in a video shared by the IPL franchise, Chahal said that he was revealing the horror story for the first time.

“I never told this story, from today everyone will know. I never shared it. It was in 2013 when I was with Mumbai Indians. We had a match in Bangalore. After that a meeting took place. He was a player. I will not name the one who was very drunk. He was very drunk, he was watching me for a long time and he called me and he took me out and he hung me from the balcony.

“And my hands were around him, like this (on the back of the neck). If I had lost my grip, I would have been on the 15th floor. Suddenly many people came there and they took care of it. I fainted, they gave me water. ,” 34-year-old Chahal continued.

He said, “Then I realized how responsible we should be when we go wherever we go. So this was an incident where I felt like I had narrowly escaped. If there was even the slightest mistake, I would have fallen down.”

Many fans of Chahal urged the cricketer to reveal the name of the player so that action can be taken. “Something very unfortunate could have happened to @BCCI Yuzi! How bad is the situation for you to pay attention to?” Questioned one fan on social media, while another said that bullying is the worst thing that can happen to anyone.

“(Yuji’s story) Bullying is the worst thing anyone can do that will almost paralyze the victim! Even worse are those (not the victims) who cover up the bullying!” Another fan tweeted. Chahal has so far taken seven wickets in three matches for Rajasthan Royals.
