Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed officials to ensure that bulldozers are not used to demolish shops and huts of the poor. Reiterating his government’s resolve of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals, the Chief Minister stressed the need to be sensitive towards the poor, downtrodden and downtrodden.


Adityanath has given strict instructions to the officers that action should be taken to demolish illegal properties with bulldozers only on professional mafia, criminals and bulldozers should not be on any poor person. He said that this action should be taken against the illegal property of the mafia.

The Chief Minister said that this has been the basic mantra of his government in the first term, and it will be followed in the second innings as well. Adityanath said that while welfare schemes are being implemented for the poor, the state government is leaving no stone unturned to rein in the criminals.

An official spokesman said that the impact of the government can be seen from the fact that in the last fortnight alone, around 80 criminals have surrendered before the police.

The fear of bulldozers is also high on the mafia and illegal occupiers as the state agencies these days are working overtime to demolish illegal properties not only of criminals but also of corrupt officials and police. Recently, dynamite is also being used by government agencies for speedy removal of illegal properties.
