Shopian: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Haripora village of Imam Sahib area of ​​South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

A police officer said that on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation.


He said as the joint search team cordoned off the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which in retaliation led to an encounter. Sources said that as per the inputs one to two terrorists are hiding in the area.
