Korba-Hardi Bazar, 07 April (H.S.). In a land dispute, a villager beat up the elder father so much that he died due to fatal injuries. Taking quick action, the police succeeded in arresting the accused before leaving the district.

According to the information, Firangi Ram Banjare, who lives in village Dindolbhatha, is running a land dispute with his brother. On this dispute, nephew Rameshwar alias Ramesh’s father Banshiram Banjare argued with Firangi Ram on Wednesday evening at around 7 pm, threatening to kill him badly with hand-punch. During this, the head was slammed on the cot with iron pipe. Firangi Ram was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he died after about one and a half hours. Hardi Bazar police outpost in-charge Inspector Abhay Singh Bais said that as soon as the matter was reported, an offense was registered against the accused Rameshwar under sections 294, 506, 323, 302.

It was learned about the accused that he had fled from the village. SI Prahlad Rathore, SI Anand Sahu was immediately in search of him, who along with the subordinates and with the help of special team arrested the absconding accused near Baloda on Thursday morning. The accused was trying to escape from the district, but by taking prompt action under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel, the outpost in-charge succeeded in catching him. The accused was produced in the court and admitted to the jail.
