MUMBAI, 7 April (H.S.). Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Nitish Rana has been reprimanded and fined 10 per cent of his match fee for violating the Indian Premier League (IPL) code of conduct during a match against Mumbai Indians.

Apart from Rana, veteran Mumbai pacer Jasprit Bumrah has also been reprimanded for violating the code of conduct. The match was won by KKR by five wickets here on Wednesday.

However, no information has been given about the offenses of both the players.

Nitish and Bumrah have admitted to the level 1 offense of their code of conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the decision of the match referee is final and binding.

Let us inform that in this match, Mumbai, batting first, scored 161 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav scored 52, Tilak Verma scored 38 not out and finally Kieron Pollard scored 22 not out off 5 balls. Cummins took two wickets for KKR, while Varun Chakraborty and Umesh Yadav took one wicket each.

In reply, thanks to Pat Cummins’ explosive 56 off 15 balls, KKR chased down the target of 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 16 overs. Apart from Cummins, Venkatesh Iyer also played an anchoring innings of 50 runs off 41 balls.
