Baghdad : Three rockets fell near Iraq’s northern Kurdish regional capital, Erbil, with no casualties.
A Kurdish CTS statement said on Wednesday that the rockets were fired from the city of al-Hamdaniya, 60 kilometers west of Erbil, and hit a residential area near an oil installation in the Khabat district of Erbil province.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack, Xinhua news agency reported.
On 13 March, the Kurdish regional government said that 12 long-range ballistic missiles were fired from the east outside Iraqi borders towards the new building of the US consulate in Erbil and surrounding residential areas, injuring one civilian.
Later on Wednesday, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to Iraq to protest the missile attack.
