Deshmukh’s counsel will try to appear before a bench of Justice Prakash Naik this afternoon for hearing his plea.

Let us inform, Anil Deshmukh was accused by former Police Commissioner Parambir Singh of alleged transfer posting and alleged extortion from a bar restaurant. It was only after this that Parambir Singh approached the High Court. Meanwhile, advocate Jayshree Patil had also filed an application in the court seeking a probe into the allegations of Parambir Singh. The court then directed the CBI to investigate the matter and said that if they feel that the matter has come to the fore during the investigation, they can register an FIR.
