new Delhi: Indian Railways is soon going to give big news for lakhs of employees. Lakhs of employees and pensioners of Indian Railways are going to get meager salary soon. The central government has increased the dearness allowance of all central employees from 31 percent to 34 percent. This change will be effective from January 2022. Implementing this, the Ministry of Railways has asked to give increased Expenditure Allowance (DA) to all its zone employees and pensioners. Also asked to pay the arrears of January, February and March.
These 14 lakh people will get direct benefit
This decision of the Ministry of Railways will directly benefit 14 lakh employees and pensioners of Indian Railways. When they get their April salary, they will now get 34 per cent dearness allowance. Not only this, along with April celery, these 14 lakh people also have to get the dues from January to March. In this regard, Deputy Director of Railway Board, Jai Kumariji issued a letter to all the zones and construction units on Tuesday.

It has been said that from January 1, 2022, railway employees will be given allowance at the rate of 34 percent instead of 31. percentage of basic pay. The letter also states that in the revised pay structure, basic pay means ‘pay received’ as defined in the pay matrix. The Deputy Director further said in the letter that the arrears of dearness allowance could not be paid before the salary distribution of March 2022.
According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary, All India Railway Federation, DA dues will be paid on this date. According to Mishra, all the concerned units have received the copy of the order of the Deputy Director. Following the order, the officers would now be given dearness allowance of 34 per cent instead of 31 per cent.
