Islamabad : There is confusion in Pakistan after the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was rejected. Now the Supreme Court itself has taken cognizance of the matter but till now no solution has been found in three days. The matter is to be heard again in the Supreme Court today and the court has sought a record of the proceedings in the National Assembly on the no-confidence motion and said that it will soon give a rational decision in the matter.

This happened during the court proceedings on Monday

During the hearing on Monday, a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandiyal heard the arguments of both the sides. The court then said that it wanted to see the proceedings of the National Assembly before taking any decision. It is worth noting that the no-confidence motion against the Imran government was rejected by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly as unconstitutional, after which President Arif Alvi has called for the dissolution of the house on the recommendation of the government and to hold elections within 90 days. was declared.

Election commission is not in favor of early elections

The Imran government has said that it will hold elections in 90 days, but the Election Commission of Pakistan has said that it is unable to hold elections in three months. According to the commission, it is not easy to hold elections so early and it will take at least six months. On the other hand, if the Supreme Court decides in favor of Imran, then elections can be held soon. However, the court has made it clear that its focus is only on the decision of the Vice-Chairman and will give its verdict on the legality of the Speaker’s action.
