new Delhi: Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari has confirmed that a foot over bridge will soon be built to connect Sector 51 and Sector 52 metro stations. “As per today’s board’s decision, Sector 52/51 metro stations will be connected with FOB soon by Noida Authority, tender will be floated soon,” Maheshwari tweeted. This foot-over bridge will connect the Blue and Aqua Metro lines, for which the Noida Authority will soon float tenders.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) operates the Blue Line metro, while the Noida Metro Rail Corporation operates the Aqua Line metro connecting Greater Noida with Central Noida. There have always been connectivity issues between the two metro stations due to different agencies running the metros.

Both the metro stations are less than 500 meters apart but connectivity has always been a problem. Currently, commuters have to use a 300-metre walkway connecting the two metro stations. For the convenience of commuters, the Noida authority has constructed a separate lane between metro stations that offers free electric rickshaw rides.
