14 terrorists killed in 8 operations in Jammu and Kashmir this year, 7 of them Pakistani; Infiltration efforts continue in the valley

According to a police spokesman, after getting information about the presence of terrorists, security forces started a cordon and search operation in Hasanpura village of Kulgam district. During the search operation, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the force also retaliated and the encounter started. The spokesman said that two terrorists were killed in the encounter. His identity is being traced. Efforts are also being made to find out which organization he belonged to. Incriminating material including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site.

Two terrorists were killed on Sunday

Earlier on Sunday also there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kulgam in which two terrorists were killed. One of the slain terrorists was identified as Al-Badr terrorist Imad Wani. Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police (IG) Vijay Kumar had told that Wani was involved in the attack on policeman Mushtaq Wage in Pulwama on December 19 last year. Wage was seriously injured in this attack. The encounter started on Sunday evening.
