A man celebrating New Year in a bar in the European country of Montenegro indiscriminately shot and killed 12 people, including several members of his family. Those killed included the killer’s family members, the bar owner and his two children. Apart from this, four people were injured.
The accused attacker, identified as Ako Martinovic, 45, fled the scene after the attack. Police immediately reached the spot and launched a search operation, but later found out that the accused attacker later committed suicide.
According to police, Martinovic had come to the bar with his family and guests. He had a fight with someone in the bar. After this he went home and returned with weapons and then opened fire at 5-30 pm.

According to reports, a family dispute is responsible for this fight. However, the accused also had a criminal record.
Prime Minister of Montenegro declared national mourning
Following the attack, the government of Montenegro declared three days of national mourning starting Thursday. Prime Minister Miloško Spajić described the shooting as a horrific incident. The condition of the people injured in the attack is said to be very serious.
