Today (September 17), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the country the India International Convention and Expo Center (IICC) named Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, capital Delhi. Spread over a project area of over 8.9 lakh sq m and built-up area of over 1.8 lakh sq m, the center will be one of the largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) facilities. It has 15 convention centers and a seating capacity of 11 thousand people. PM Modi’s vision is to create a world-class infrastructure to host meetings, conferences and exhibitions in the country. This will give a boost to Yasobhoomi in Dwarka. Along with the inauguration of its first phase, he will also inaugurate the extension of Delhi Airport Metro Express Line from Dwarka Sector-21 to Dwarka Sector-25.
The main hall has a seating capacity of 6 thousand people.
The convention center has 15 convention halls including the main auditorium, grand ballroom and 13 meeting halls, with a total capacity of 11,000 delegates. The country’s largest LED screen will be installed in the convention center. The main auditorium of the convention center has a seating capacity of approximately 6,000 guests. The auditorium will have wooden flooring. Automatic chairs will also be installed. Along with this, sound panels will be installed on the walls of the auditorium, which will provide a world-class experience to the visitors.
What is PM Modi’s program?
1. PM Modi will travel by metro from Dhaula Kuan to Dwarka Sector 25 at around 11 am.
2. First of all, 25 metro stations of Dwarka sector will be inaugurated.
3. After this, 4 Union Ministers will go to IICC where they will welcome PM Modi.
4. PM Modi will visit IICC.
5. PM Modi will take the name of IICC and then launch Vishwakarma Yojana.
6. PM Modi’s speech will be at around 12:30.
One of the largest exhibition halls in the world
The convention center can accommodate 2,500 guests at a time. There will also be a large open area which can accommodate 500 people. Meetings of various levels can be held in 13 meeting halls spread over eight floors. Yashobhoomi will be one of the largest exhibition halls in the world. The exhibition hall spread over an area of more than 1.07 lakh square meters will be used to organize exhibitions, trade fairs and business events.
