According to Pakistan's National Disaster Agency, rainwater entered the basement of the house, trapping the family there. As a result, six children, three women and two men died. Rescue teams reached the spot and recovered the bodies from the basement. Later, the bodies were shifted to a government hospital in Kohat. Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin has expressed deep grief over the deaths following the rain.
