Moradabad, July 05 (HS). The court of Special Judge POCSO Act Court No. 2 Shailendra Verma on Friday sentenced the accused to ten years of imprisonment in the case of rape of a seven-year-old child five years ago. He has also imposed a fine of 20 thousand rupees on him.
A resident of Thana Mundhapande area had filed a case on 4 April 2019. He had told that Usman, a resident of Sikampur Pandey, had taken his seven-year-old grandson to his house and raped him. On returning home, the child had told his grandfather and other family members about the incident. In this case, the police had arrested the accused and sent him to jail. The case was heard in the court of Special Judge POCSO Act Court No. 2 Shailendra Verma.
Special Public Prosecutors Abhishek Bhatnagar and Bhukan Singh said that on the basis of the statements of the victim child, the court today convicted the accused Usman in the case and sentenced him to ten years of imprisonment. A fine of twenty thousand rupees was also imposed on him.
